Thanks for the message Pastor!!! It is good to know GOD didn't create me just to stand around or to try and find my purpose in life. My purpose is to live for Him. I can do that by loving and serving others so that they might give their life to Christ.

I appreciate the scripture being presented boldly and accurately on this blog. It is encouraging.

Using my own 'wisdom' and the world's wisdom, I made a MESS of my life. When I rededicated my life to The Lord on Jul. 22, 2007, I could not wait to begin serving Him. He welcomed me back with open, loving arms. He gave the ultimate sacrifice for me, His life. How can I not serve Him? How can I not serve others? As a follower of Jesus, who came to serve others, how can I not serve others?

I absolutely LOVE serving at CCoT. The benefits are smiles, hugs, knowing someone's day is brighter, knowing someone's life could be changed for eternity, awesome friendships, ETC...

I also love serving at other places as James pointed out. Once I began serving in Sparkle, I found myself 'sparkling' the bathroom at Wal-Mart...LOL! It's so easly to reach out to others and serve them, for example: holding a bag of groceries while someone opens their car door; encouraging a Mom having a tough time with a toddler; ETC. There are opportunities all around us to serve others ... we just have to look for them and DO them!

If you're reading this and you aren't serving, I encourage you to start TODAY! You will not be disappointed.

James:

Matthew 20:28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Matthew 25:40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

As Followers of Jesus, following Him and His example, we are to serve others... others being all people. All people are the least of these in some way or another. We should serve people inside and outside the church. Ministry is 24/7.

I absolutely LOVE serving others. It is a life changing / world changing experience to be Others centered.

Does God call us only to serve in the Church, or are we also called in service to those hurting outside the church....in the community. We are also called to serve the widows, the orphans, the poor...etc It is my contention that one of the primary functions of the church should be pouring itself out to those less fortunate.

I pray the Lord in His mercy and grace to use my marriage and family to multiply and be fruitful together in our relationship to Jesus and His harvest fields. Thank you Lord we acknowledge you as faithful to do above an beyond what we could ask imagine or think for Your Glory!

One thing I've learned by serving - after I jumped in and started, I couldn't get enough. I found that I wanted to do more the more I served. It's very hard to have a bad day when you have a job to do for the Creator of all things. It's very rewarding here on this earth already, I can't imagine that it's also storing up treasures in heaven too. I never had such cool friends before either!!
